BBQ Season!!!

Last night I went round to my mate Dave the Chef's house for a BBQ and a Peroni or two. One of Dave's favourite chefs is Gordon Ramsey so we couldn't resist a quick photo to give Dave his own "F Word" style photo. Once again a perfect example of a character portrait!!

Baxter

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Baxter with his mum Sophie. Right from the start of the shoot you could see the connection between mum and son and I wanted to capture that on camera.

The images were taken using natural light in Sophie's living room. Baxter was a star and fell asleep halfway through which made my job easier and made some wonderful photos.

Photographing villas in Croatia

When people found out I was going to Croatia to "work" no-one would believe me!! So i thought i have to put some photos on to prove that I was there for a purpose. This is one of the villas, Villa Vista and some shots of nearby Porec that I had to photograph. I think you would agree this is a beautiful place and thank you to the client Rob and Petra for the opportunity. I went with my trusty friend and fellow photographer Glyn, my brief was to capture the detail of the villa and Glyn took wider aspects of the villas.

A true country gent!!!

How do you capture a true image of someone? Do a character portrait!  :-)

"Meet at 5pm if the rain stops!" was the text I received. It had been thunder and lightening all day and there was a break in the clouds, I got the flashes set up in a field and could hear the put, put, put of the 1940's Fordson tractor coming up the lane. We had literally 10 minutes to grab a photo as the lightening was on route back to us. I got Blair to stand with his tractor and I think you will agree the picture says a thousand words!!!

So long Murphy!

Meet Murphy, a trainee guide dog for the blind. Murphy turned 1 year old last week and "came of age" to be handed over by Robert and Anne who have been puppy walking him since he was a pup. They have done an excellent job in bringing him up and we could not resist a quick photo before he leaves for training school on Monday.

I am sure he will leave a very lasting memory for them and I am sure he will bring great pleasure to the blind person he is put with. I have been told they will be fine as long as they like to drink Guinness and like digging up gardens!! I suppose the training will iron that out!!

Four countries in four days!!!

It has been a rather mad last couple of weeks with photos in the UK and abroad. After flying to Italy, then to Slovenia and finally into Croatia I found myself with my mate and fellow photographer Glyn by a pool with a Peroni!! For those who have said photographing holiday villas in Croatia is not "work" then please let me assure you it is!  :-)

With 4.30am starts to catch the rising sun and working through to 9pm in the evening in 30 degrees of heat, it was a bit harder than expected! However the images were excellent and we did manage to take advantage of the pool and local bars!

I will upload a few images over the next few days to prove it was not all relaxation, the client was so pleased they have asked us to return to do some more work for them- happy days!!
