Becki and Russell's UK Blessing

Yorkshire Wedding Photography

Shortly after landing back into the UK from Sorrento it was round two of Becki and Russell's wedding. The blessing was to be held at a local church which had close family connections then onto the reception at Crow Hill Hotel. The weather was a little cooler than we had out in Italy but more akin to what I would expect for my Yorkshire Wedding Photography!

The church was on at quite a rural location, on a hilltop with a pub next to it! The guys grabbed a quick pint at the pub before making their way in for the blessing. The girls arrived in style, if not a little fashionably late for a lovely family blessing at the church.

The Crow Hill Hotel was a perfect location for the wedding reception. The building has a real architectural feel to it however keeps its homely feel. The wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the house, then the party started in the marquee. There was a little surprise behind the curtains in the reception area, the guests were gathered for the unveiling of Becki and Russell's cake. This cake was no ordinary cake, it was a Choccywoccydoodah cake. The cake was a piece of art, sculptured from white chocolate in an Italian theme. Becki had told me about the cake whilst I had spoken to them in the UK, they took the day out to collect it from Brighton and to me the cake sums up the attention to detail Becki and Russell had put into their whole day. Here are some photos from the day.

Becki and Russell's Wedding- Sorrento and Amalfi Coast

Sorrento Wedding Photography

It has been a natural progression for me to extend my wedding coverage from Tuscany to include some Amalfi wedding photography. When I met Becki at a wedding exhibition in the UK she told me about all her plans for their wedding in Sorrento.  She spoke so passionately about her plans and loved my style of photography, I have always wanted to photograph a wedding on the Amalfi Coast, so it was great for both of us.

Becki's wedding was two years of planning and she had everything organised. We were both flying out to Sorrento and using that as the base for the Italian wedding, then flying back to the UK for a wedding blessing with other family and friends. It all started on a cold frosty morning at Manchester airport whilst waiting at the car park for the bus, another couple were also waiting. The other couple spoke to me and told me how proud they were to be flying out for their daughters wedding in Sorrento; small world, I'm the photographer!!

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most magical places I have ever been to, it makes such a stunning wedding venue. The Amalfi drive follows the coast around and taking in the towns of Positano, Sorrento and Ravello. Becki had planned her wedding day to take in all these amazing places. The wedding ceremony was held at Villa Fondi Then we took a fast car for photographs along the Amalfi drive stopping at Positano, then on to Ravello and finishing off on the cathedral steps of Sorrento.

The whole day was a magical one, full of fun and emotion. Becki looked amazing in her Italian lace dress made by the designer YOU by Pronovias. Some of the best back drops for the wedding photos were taken at Villa Rufolo in Ravello. Becki wanted the classical Amalfi wedding photograph with the pine tree, the blue sea and the happy couple, I didn't disappoint!
