Philippa and David's Wedding- Middleton Lodge

Yorkshire Wedding Photography- Middleton Lodge

A few days prior to the wedding I spoke to Philippa who said to me "there might be a dusting of snow". As I drove north to Middleton Lodge the dusting of snow became heavier, and heavier!! By the time I got to the grounds of Middleton Lodge the dusting was a couple of inches. The snow made a stunning winter wonderland and set the grounds in a beautiful surrounding. I put my Hunter wellies on and a nice thick winter jacket to join the boys who were clay pigeon shooting. It was great fun and a great start to the day. There were suggestions that real real pigeons could have been used because Dave's shot was so bad (sorry Dave their words not mine!!). I then went to spend some time with the girls for her bridal preparations.

Philippa was so relaxed and chilled, it was great when her friends arrived with a magnum of Velive Clicquot champagne. It was an emotional walk down the stairs for Phillipa, she was greated at the bottom of the stairs by Dave and all her family and friends. It was an emotional service made even more personal with a couple of heart felt readings.

The speeches gave opportunity for some funny past stories about the groom with the bride looking on with a smile. The results of the clay pigeon shooting were also announced to quite some amusement! With the wedding breakfast complete, the party continued into the evening in the Cellar Bar. Now every wedding venue should have one of these, an underground playground complete with bar, surround sound cinema, chill out rooms and a bride and groom who were definitely up for a party!! After the first dance the party really got started and I am sure it won't on well into the early hours. Thanks to Philippa and Dave for letting me be part of their day, thanks also to all the staff at Middleton Lodge who made it such a special wedding day.
