Video- A sneak preview!!!.....

Here is a sneak preview of what has been the most exciting advance for Riff Raff Photography since we went digital all those years ago! About a year ago I was sat with Dominic, one of our photographers, and I shared one of my concept ideas with him- wedding video.

Our team of three wedding photographers Mark, Dominic and Pippa are all running with the latest professional Canon cameras which all have the capacity to take HD ready video. So what if we played with that concept a little, and in true Riff Raff Photography style, made it dynamic, fun and put it in a format to that was easy to share for your iPhone, iPad or even Facebook.

Mark flew out to Tuscany to shoot the first wedding video for one of Marco's Romantic Italian Weddings and was blown away with the capability of the cameras and the final results achieved. Dominic was hot on his heels with an amazing wedding video shot in North Yorkshire in the UK and the results just got better and better. Pippa also has achieved great results with her recent contribution for a wedding video down in Berkshire.

So after what has been a year of amazing achievements by us all (and a little head scratching with the software!!) Dominic has now created his own wedding videography company to work alongside Riff Raff Photography and I am proud to work with him on this new venture.

We can now offer a wedding video package alongside any of our photography packages, or if you just want the video give us a call. We are working throughout the UK and for the first time in 2012 we will be offering the wedding videos to all our Romantic Italian Wedding clients.

Here is a sneak preview while the video is being built into our main website. This wedding for Lucy and Andrew shot at Wood Hall near Wetherby saw all the Riff Raff Photography team working together, Mark and Pippa on Photographs and Dominic on video. We are all so proud to be part of this new exciting concept, keep any eye out on the website for it going live soon ;-)

Lucy and Andrew Wedding- Wood Hall

It was a return back to Wood Hall for again recently for Lucy and Andrew's wedding. Their day was a colourful one with their guests wearing some stunning dresses and the guys all looking very smart. I recall at our meeting prior to the wedding where Lucy said "what happens if it rains?", but we never expected such a downpour!! Fortunately Wood Hall offers so many places to make great photos we could still get some amazing shots.

Despite the weather we photographed inside and outside, Pippa who runs the South office came up and joined me for the day. She played with some off camera flash images which are some of my favourite wedding photographs of the year!! We also played with a new video concept which we will release on the website very soon. Here are a few from the day.

Canning Family Portrait

One of the things I love the most is to photograph a wedding, then some time later get a phone call to say the bride and groom have started a family. It always a proud day to spend with the new parents and having been part of one of their biggest days you can now be part of the next stage of their journey.

Helen and Gareth were married in Italy as one of our Romantic Italian Wedding packages. They now have a new addition to their family and we met up recently to get some family portrait photos for them.

Here are a few from the day ;-)

Ashleigh and Matt- Romantic Italian Wedding

It was our last Italian wedding in Tuscany for this year and Ashleigh and Matt made it a great final trip. They were married as part of Marco's Romantic Italian Weddings at Cortona then onto Villa San Crispolto. It was a fantastic day, the weather was unusually hot for the time of the year and Ashleigh and Matt spent an amazing day with their family and friends.

It is always nice to share that experience with them, get some amazing wedding photos and take them through the whole journey of the day. We stopped in Cortona to make the most of the stunning architecture as a backdrop for the wedding photography, then to the villa which is set amongst the rolling Tuscany hills.

Here are a few photos from the day, you can also see more on our Facebook page by clicking here http://www.facebook.com/riffraffphotography or have a look in our Client Area on the website.

We look forward to photographing for Romantic Italian Weddings again next year and we will be back out in Cortona early next year for the 2012 bride and grooms.

Emma and Darren- Italy Wedding

Last week saw me back over in Italy for two weddings, the first of which was one of our Romantic Italian Weddings for Emma and Darren. They were held their whole day and wedding ceremony at Villa Baroncino which is set amongst the hills on the Tuscany and Umbria border.

Whilst the girls were getting ready with hair and make up, the boys could not resist a quick dip in the pool which made for a great photo!!!

Here are a few photos from the day and the remaining photos will be in the Client Area very soon.

Enjoy!!

Matt and Elisa Wedding

Matt and Elisa's wedding on Christmas Eve was my last wedding for 2011. It was a real honour to photograph their wedding and to be part of a very intimate day. The wedding was their family and close friends which saw people flying in from as far away as Dubai. The day had a very Christmas feel to it and Elisa looked stunning in her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle.

The wedding day started and finished at Hotel Du Vin in Harrogate with the church service in Hampsthwaite. Elisa was determined to be on time but was fashionably a little late which kept Matt on his toes at the church!! In all it was a fantastic day and for a great end to what has been a very busy year.

Here are a few from their day.
