A fantastic start to the wedding season

It has been an amazing start to 2012, already with some wonderful clients and many pre-wedding meetings already done for forthcoming weddings. I have not posted much on the blog recently as I have been covering many miles to get to venues, photographing weddings and meeting clients, I have not had time to keep updating the blog or Facebook status. My travels have seen me photographing weddings in North Yorkshire, Loch Lomond and near to Lands End.

I am currently writing this from Italy where I am for a few weeks photographing our Romantic Italian Wedding photography packages at Villa San Crispolto and Villa Baroncino. It is fantastic to be back and has given me chance to catch up on the blogs and photo processing, so over the next week you will see some of the amazing photographs from the recent weddings.

Italy is also a great place for me just to take some time out, look at new styles and ideas that I can continue to use for the future. For past clients and friends that is a process that can always be helped with a Peroni sitting on the balcony with a great view. Here is the view, and the Peroni is in the fridge! ;-)

Laura and Scott- Pre-Wedding Shoot

I met up with Laura and Scott recently to photograph them ahead of their wedding at Wood Hall Hotel and Spa in August. They are a great couple, so in love and they made some great photographs. Their wedding will be held at one of the best Yorkshire Wedding Venues and I know we will have an amazing day. 

Doing the pre-wedding shoot enabled them to see how I work and achieve some great wedding photographs. Here are a few from the day.

Gav and Laura- Engagement Shoot

Gav and Laura are due to be married at the lovely Wood Hall Hotel and Spa, near Wetherby later this year. We met up recently to discuss their plans for the wedding photography on the day and to take the opportunity to do an engagement shoot for them.

I look forward to being their wedding photographer at Wood Hall which is one of my favourite Yorkshire wedding venues. They are a great couple, loads of fun and we will have a great time on their day. Here are a few images from their engagement shoot.

Aldwark Manor Wedding Photography

Simon and Georgina are due to get married at Aldwark Manor in North Yorkshire later this year. I met them to photograph an engagement shoot prior to doing their wedding photography. They were such a fun couple and you could sense how close they were to each other. They want to have fun on their wedding day, play with the camera and get some quirky shots. Yorkshire Wedding Photography

I took a day out to meet a few of my clients at the lovely Aldwark Manor hotel recently to meet clients and do engagement shoots with them in preparation of the big day. Karen and Robert are due to get married at the amazing Pendennis Castle in Falmouth later in the year. It has been hard to catch up with them both as Robert is based in Newcastle and Karen is now in Salisbury. I am really pleased to be their wedding photographer.

I met Karen at the National Wedding Exhibition where she had gone to try and find a wedding photographer. She told me how she never thought she would find a photographer that would travel to Pendennis Castle for her day. Only when we spoke at the show did we realise she lived five minutes from where I my office is. She had gone to a national wedding exhibition at the Birmingham NEC only to find a photographer that lived five minutes from where she lived- fate!! ;-)

We had a great morning together setting out the plans for the wedding, and here are a few shots from the engagement shoot.

Sian and Lee Wedding- Wood Hall

It was a welcomed return back to Wood Hall for Sian and Lee's wedding recently. Wood Hall is one of the finest Yorkshire's wedding venues and I always enjoy being there for the wedding photography.

The attention to detail from Sian and Lee was amazing. From her choice of shoes, the flowers, and the very apt and quirky table names and settings brought the whole day together. They laughed all day and it was great to see them come together and get married.

Goodbye Pippa

Pippa has taken the decision to leave Riff Raff Photography from the end of March 2012. For those who met her, she looked after our office based in Windsor covering the south of the UK. It is a shame to see her go and I do wish her every success for the future. Pippa has been a great photographer to work with and I have enjoyed the time with her.

Swinton Park Wedding Fair- Come and join us!

Come and join us for another great event at Swinton Park on 29th April 2012. As one of The Wedding Affair and Swinton Park's preferred partners we will be exhibiting at the Swinton Park wedding exhibition. You can come and join us from 12.00pm to 4.00pm and it would be great to see you their.

As a Yorkshire wedding Photographer I am sometimes quiet spoilt for venues in the Yorkshire area. Swinton Park is one of the finest Yorkshire Wedding Venues and one of my favourite wedding venues in North Yorkshire. Our wedding photography suits this amazing venue as it gives me a chance to use the venue as a perfect back drop like on our website.

Commercial Portfolio Shoot- Bristol

This time of the year gives me chance to catch up, play with the camera a little so when I took the opportunity to do a shoot down in Bristol recently. The concept was punchy modern style images needed for a portfolio so in between coffee stops here are a few of the results!!

Nicola and Paul Wedding- Devonshire Arms

With such beautiful surroundings amongst the Yorkshire rolling hills the Devonshire Arms makes the perfect wedding venue for stunning wedding photography. I photographed Nichola and Paul there last weekend and we had a great day. Nicola wore an amazing dress from The Wedding Lounge in Harrogate which took Paul's breath away when he saw her for the first time. The day was a fun filled family affair and my photography fitted the mood of the day. Both Nicola and Paul were fantastic fun to photograph, a great bride and groom. We had fun later in the day with the lighting for the photographs and got some relaxed style images on the sofas and some intimate shots on the stairs.

The Devonshire Arms is one of Yorkshires premier venues and never fails to give me a great scope for pictures. Here are a few of my photographs from the wedding.
