As the weather just got better and better it was an amazing day at Laura and Tommy's wedding. Newburgh Priory is a stunning venue and Tommy had the surprise of flying into the venue by helicopter! It was a great day and after the wedding ceremony we went back to their home where they had set up a Papakata for the wedding breakfast. The first dance proved quite a surprise for everyone when the traditional music stopped, then they broke out into a fun filled dance which everyone loved.

Becki and Russell's UK Blessing

Shortly after landing back into the UK from Sorrento it was round two of Becki and Russell's wedding. The blessing was to be held at a local church which had close family connections then onto the reception at Crow Hill Hotel. The weather was a little cooler than we had out in Italy but more akin to what I would expect for my Yorkshire Wedding Photography!

The church was on at quite a rural location, on a hilltop with a pub next to it! The guys grabbed a quick pint at the pub before making their way in for the blessing. The girls arrived in style, if not a little fashionably late for a lovely family blessing at the church.

The Crow Hill Hotel was a perfect location for the wedding reception. The building has a real architectural feel to it however keeps its homely feel. The wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the house, then the party started in the marquee. There was a little surprise behind the curtains in the reception area, the guests were gathered for the unveiling of Becki and Russell's cake. This cake was no ordinary cake, it was a Choccywoccydoodah cake. The cake was a piece of art, sculptured from white chocolate in an Italian theme. Becki had told me about the cake whilst I had spoken to them in the UK, they took the day out to collect it from Brighton and to me the cake sums up the attention to detail Becki and Russell had put into their whole day. Here is the latest wedding video from Dominic who is our resident wedding videographer. Dom shot this one at the stunning Yorebridge House Hotel which is set in the North Yorkshire Dales. Me and Dominic normally photograph and video together but on this day he was out on his own. The video concept of having a short fun video that you can share with your friends is proving very popular with our brides for 2013. Chris and Gemma- Aldwark Manor wedding

It was a quick hop back from Italy to the UK for me to photograph Chris and Gemma’s wedding at Aldwark Manor. As the recommended photographer for Aldwark Manor I get to photograph there very often enabling me to find different areas to get some great shots. With the mix of traditional and modern styles the hotel gives me a great range of possiblities for some great wedding photography.

It was a very emotional day for Chris and Gemma and Gemma did very well to hold back the tears of joy as she walked down the aisle. Gemma looked amazing in a stunning dress and I could see how happy Chris was to see here for the first time on their wedding day.

The day was made even better as their two boys played such a part in their wedding day. I loved to see them enter the room for their wedding breakfast with everyone cheering and the two boys lapping up all the attention.
