Kaylee and Chris chose the lovely Royal York Hotel to get married which is a Victorian hotel right in the centre of York. It is a very popular Yorkshire wedding venue and gives a great range of wedding photographs with the large staircase and locality to the York castle walls. I recall a meeting prior to the wedding day when Kaylee and Chris said they saw the staircase and knew this was the place they wanted to get married.

Whilst the boys went onto the nearby Station Pub on the main train platform the girls got ready in a room in the hotel. After a quite relaxed morning there was a flurry of rushed getting ready when the registrar came in and announced Kaylee had a mere seven minutes to finish off getting ready!! The next seven minutes was the fastest I have ever seen a bride get ready, including finishing hair and getting into the dress. Amazingly Kaylee came down the aisle only two minutes late, and Chris looked very pleased to she her.

After their ceremony the guests had drinks out on the balcony and we grabbed a few photos in the gardens then onto the city walls. The remaining time was spent getting informal reportage style photographs of the guests having fun. The day turned into night and the party really started then, the first dance was great then the disco dancing started.

I just love my work and everything that I do, being with a bride and groom on their wedding day is the most magical thing to do. I put everything into a wedding day, relaxed style, there all day, just smile and make everyone happy! It is always nice to receive amazing feedback from the brides friends and family, I like to think I break the mould from the traditional image of a stressy wedding photographer! This makes my work highly recommended by former brides as I always believe a recommendation is the best form of advertising. This makes my work very much in demand and I hate for brides to be recommended to me then find out I am already booked. At this time of year Christmas is always on the forefront of every brides mind and weddings get left in the “I will do that after xmas” box. Richard and Alyson's Wedding- Old Swan Hotel Harrogate

And the great weather continued!!! Richard and Alyson had an amazing wedding day at The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate. They are a perfect couple who met some years ago then many years later their paths crossed again and here we are at their beautiful wedding.

Alyson's dress was created by the fantastic Curvy Bridal and was a secret to everyone before the big day. Their wedding was like a garden party with all their friends and family enjoying the weather on the hotel lawns. Later into the evening they had a photo booth and the fun shots really started to take shape!
