A huge thank you!!

I wanted to thank Marco at Villa San Crispolto in Italy for making me so welcome during my visit last week. Marko is the owner and wedding planner for Villa San Crispolto and the nearby Villa Baroncino, which have to be two of the finest wedding venues in Europe!

I photographed Domanic and Jennifer's wedding at the cathedral in Cortona then onto Villa San Crispolto for the reception dinner. I will post some photographs from the day on my site in a few days. Below is a snippet from Marko's website, the main site is http://www.sancrispolto.it/index.html

Jenny and Nick's Wedding

I am always inspired at a wedding where there is a dramatic back drop to take the wedding photographs and Byland Abbey always delivers! The wedding was held at Newburgh Priory which is an amazing wedding venue in its own right, the evening reception was held at the Abbey Inn just across the road from Byland Abbey. Three great venues in one day and here are a few photos as a sample. The remainder of the images will go live in the client area on 20th July upon my return from a wedding in Italy.

A bit of time off!!

It is not always possible to get a week away right in the middle of the wedding season but I made time this year to grab time away with friends on a yacht off the West Coast of Scotland. Here is a little snippet of what I do when I am not behind the camera. 7 knots down the sound of Mull with me at the helm!!! Wicked ;-)

Mr and Mrs Fran!

Gisborough Hall was the venue for Fran and Fran's wedding reception last week. It is a beautiful wedding venue or reception, making it a great place for wedding photographs. We were so lucky with the weather, as we got closer from the church, the sky got brighter and brighter. Here are a few photographs from the day and the rest will be loaded into the Client Area ahead of the bride and grooms return from honeymoon.

Worldwide

Even in difficult economic times I am really pleased to report that Riff Raff Photography continues to grow. I have invested in the new website which is still getting more and more photos added all the time, so keep checking it out.

One other thing that I tried was to open out the company not only nationally in the UK but to offer a service anywhere! It takes me back to the old days where I used to do underwater photography across the world and spent most of my time in airport lounges. I am pleased to say that interest in weddings outside of the UK is growing. In a few weeks I depart to Tuscany in Italy to shoot a wedding for Dominic and Jenny, then in December I have a well planned trip around the world to shoot in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and a few other stops along the way. To cater for that the website has now got a .co.uk and a .com ending to help people find their way easily.

Thank you to everyone for making this an exceptional year and I look forward to the continued growth of the company and watching more and more people smile when they see their images!

Hunter Family Portrait

Last week I was asked to photograph the Hunter family. The images show how it is possible to get great images, just in your back garden! There are two definite styles that I was achieve, a very country style then using a garage door I was able to make a very modern cool look. That proved a very popular combination and one I will use again!

Jenny and Nick- Pre-Wedding Shoot

I recently photographed Jenny and Nick for their forthcoming wedding to be held at Newburgh Priory, then onto the Abbey Inn next to Byland Abbey in North Yorkshire. Byland Abbey is such an amazing place for wedding photographs, we picked it to do some pre-wedding photos.

I look forward to working with them on the day, I will put some wedding images onto the Blog when they are done.

Norfolk Garden Party

Last week I found myself in sunny Norfolk to photograph a family garden party for the Simson family. The weather was outstanding and we had a great day getting photographs of the kids and family groups. I must thank the family for their very kind hospitality, I gave into their demands to have some food and it was lovely!! Many thanks!!

Here are a few from the day, the remainder will go into the Client Area as soon as I have completed them.
